Summer at Westgate

We are in the middle of August already and today the new school term begins…

August so far has been full of sunshine, fun, laughter, music and culture brought by Fringe by the Sea, and the odd wee hare or two you may have seen hopping around the town…

Fringe by the Sea has brought a delightful buzz to the town after it’s forced hiatus in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel now, and having a degree of normality has been wonderful.

The Big Hare Trail has also been a welcome addition to the town this summer and is ongoing until the beginning of September - you can visit The Big Hare Trail for all the information you need and to download the trail map.

It’s been wonderful seeing families and friends able to meet each other for coffee, cake and lunch in The Orangery Cafe…

…and while groups can meet now, we continue to keep our safety measures in place including mask wearing and hand sanitising. We serve panini, sandwiches, quiche, salads and more including coffee, tea, home-baking, wine, beer & Prosecco!
